With the aisles landing Horvat, and now the Rangers making the move for Tarasenko, do these moves light a fire under Waddell to make a move? Whilst they have survived not having Patches for the season so far, they will need to replace him before the playoffs.

The Canes current needs are a scoring winger to replace Patches, a 2C that fits the Canes system, and a 3rd pairing upgrade on de Haan.

And whilst we are on the topic of trades, for the love of anything holy, the Canes won’t be making a move for Miller. The Canucks won’t eat half of his new deal and he is the worst fit for Brindy’s system.

Prospects that won’t be moved: RD Scott Morrow, G Pyotr Kochetkov, LD Alexander Nikishin (extremely unlikely, but might be moved at the right price), W Gleb Trikozov (same as Nikishin), G Nikita Quapp (not many G in Canes pipeline right now, with Quapp looking like the best of them behind Kochetkov), W Jackson Blake (same as Nikishin),

Roster players that can be moved: RD Dylan Coghlan, LD Calvin de Haan, W Teuvo Teravainen (extremely unlikely, only happens if the Canes go absolutely nuts and need to move out more cap), G Antti Raanta (extremely unlikely, since Kochetkov is likely to finish the year with the Chicago Wolves)

Trades below are for potential targets. Won’t be putting any pieces going back, since these are just potential move ideas, and I don’t feel like being screamed at for terrible valuations. Probably will get screamed at just for including certain players. Debate about prices in the comments.
