We already were cap compliant. Dumping Dickinson was just in case of injuries, and extensions at the end of the year

Canucks could probably add a $3 million player if they really wanted to right now without making any additional moves beyond waiving guys and still have a 23 man roster.

That being said, the player would have to be better than Justin Holl. There are multiple better players than him on waivers today

justin holl is better than every right handed dman the canucks have, and bourdreau literally said the defence sucks and they need to get meaner , justin holl fits the build
