Definitely wishful thinking but possible moves within the salary cap for all teams involved. Boston is already beat up on the blue line and doesn't have much in the system to make a Cup run the next year or two, some veteran depth with some salary-retention could be appealing. Minnesota has a lot of talent on the blueline and won't be able to afford to keep all of them and improve their forwards within the cap. Spurgeon is an RFA next year and could fetch some prospects and a pick while freeing up future cap space.
Spurgeon is worth at least one NHLer not three "don't know". Boston might need an NHL Dman but they can find one better and cheaper than 2.3 (retained adjusted) than Scuds.
