Now before everyone goes apesh*t on this, hear me out.
The longer Kadri holds out, the lower salary he's gonna get. He said we wants to go to a contending team and I believe the Preds have some pieces that can lead them there. However, they will probably have to offload Johansen's contract in order to do so. Nashville's defence gives me Tampa vibes with a strong left side and a more complimentary right side. Their offence has many play drivers along side sniper Forsberg. In almost swapping Johansen for Kadri, they would still have some money to try and improve their team, perhabs looking at trading for another goal scorer or maybe signing Phil the thrill??? Just some fun ideas here. I chose to offload Johansen and his contract to Arizona because obviously they need some help to reach the cap floor after this year after years of obtaining bad contracts for the previous few years. As well, Johansen is still a solid player and will help make their team slightly more watchable lol. His contract also aligns with Chychrun's (in hopes he stays) so they can let in walk in UFA if they need the money to retain Chychrun.
also that lauzon contract is baddd. im very positive they could've found someone better or at the sasme caliber at a cheaper price.
