Hornqvist is a top 6 winger and a "playoff guy" who probably lands LV a 1st and 2nd+ at the 2018TDL.

Sprong is a big loss to the prospect pool, as he is probably about NHL ready and has a history at the pro level. Future top 6 winger, but worth it.

Next season they still have 9 million at least in cap space coming open to sign Rust and Wilson.

The Hags and Kruger the next year come of the books to pay Sheary and Guentzel and Aston-Reese.

That gives the Pens college centers a year in the AHL to develop. Hopefully one will be NHL ready.

Barrie enters UFA just as Murray is looking for his big 6-7 million AAV deal.

By then Malkin is 34 and Crosby is 33 and the Penguins can look to start tearing down a bit. Unless they got lucky in the 18,19,20 drafts.

    Why? Bc it came out as a rumor?

    I'll wait to see what happens thanks. Taking on Kruger for the "privilege" of TVR isn't exactly doing much for Vegas either. They'd be better off shopping him around first. At least they get a bottom six wing back that can be buried in this situation.

    First, expansion picks are not made until June 15th at 5:00pm EST at the earliest, it also happens to be the time that protection lists are submitted. rumors are rumors.

    I also wouldn't trade that if I were PIT. Maata is very skilled and still as upside. Sprong is one of the better prospects in the Farm and add in a 1st rounder (who can be a very skilled player) for Tyson Barrie.
