I wouldn’t trade Necas unless it’s in a package for a big name, but agree with Bear and Gardiner.

Some other players I’d add for other teams include Jonathan Toews (if salary is retained), John Gibson, Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler.

Laine's price is essentially equivalent to four first-rounders. Why? Because if you were to offer-sheet him, you'd have to reach that level for Jarmo to decide not to match. And the Canucks simply don't have that level of value available, at least not picking high enough in the draft to interest Jarmo.
