Ducks make some moves

MANSON SIGNING: Based on rumors, Manson would like to return to the Ducks. I've heard the main part of the deal that is being worked on is whether or not the Ducks give him the 5th year. In the end I think they do and Manson can be a candidate to wear the "C" for the Ducks.

KANE SIGNING: I've heard rumors that the Ducks were interested in possibly signing Kane. The deal I went with was close to one I saw that the Oilers potentially offered him. I think realistically he will ask for more money so this signing is a little more unlikey but I figured I would include it for fun.

CARLSSON SIGNING: Carlsson would give the Ducks a 6'5 Defenseman who fits their age range who had a decent season in Columbus. He can be a temperoray solution until Noah Warren arrives or could turn into a nice piece for the Ducks at a low risk investment.

GAUDETTE SIGNING: Like Manson, I've seen rumors that the Ducks could be interested in Gaudette. He was once a pretty highly regarded prospect and you can probably sign him for cheap to help round out the top-9. Best case scenario, he adds some depth scoring for a team that sturggles to score at times.

RFA SIGNINGS: Bring back Benoit, Lundestrom, and Vaakanainen for solid defenseive depth and Lundestrom can be a solid 3rd line center/penalty killer.

TRADES: It seems to me that Comtois and Eakins may not have the best relationship and I think it would be good for Max to get a change of scenery. I chose Beauvillier because I saw that he is another player allegedly on the Ducks radar. I figured NYI get a younger player with upside and save around 2M in cap space and the Ducks get a more established Top-6(ish) forward. It could even be a 1 for 1 but I threw in the pick just cause. Ducks could even toss a pick back to NY.

Trade Grant for a pick and call it a day.

Tried my best to be realistic but probably over/underpaid players. Interested to see what the new regime does this offseason. Go Ducks!
