I like the trades but I don't think Ott wants to move their number 1 goalie prospect especially when the goalie position for OTT is a ???. Forsberg is good but no one knows if he will be good enough for playoffs or if he will be good for the rest of his contract, Gus struggled last year which is bad but the year before did pretty well and if OTT keeps Murray he will likely get hurt again and again. So if OTT were to trade a young goalie I think they would trade Gus. I personally wouldn't trade any of the young goalies but I would make many other prospects available. For the rest Ott won't sign Gaudette for that or might not even sign him at all. Gaudette basically brings the fan base 1 flashy goal or pass and does nothing else to make the team better. As gm I would also get rid of Zaitsev asap. Im also guessing you're not a die hard Sens fans or a big fan of the team since all the lines are messed up but very good ideas!

Hawks decline, simply not enough and not close, you are at least missing either the 2023 1st or Pinto.

A better trade is removing Sogaard, including the 2023 1st (top 5 protected), including Zaits (who's awful), including Pinto, and getting back Cat + Connor Murphy. You get a big upgrade on the the right side D and of course a elite player in Cat.

I think Pinto is untouchable for Ottawa. I personally would trade any other prospect and pick apart from sandy and pinto if that's the case. I would also consider putting Connor brown in the trade if he doesn't want to sign with Ottawa.

Pinto isn't untouchable, he's a very good prospect but not untouchable level. As widely reported, the only way the Hawks trade Cat is a top prospect, early 1st round pick and either another good prospect, 1st or young NHL player. Brannstrom doesn't move the needle for Cat, needs to be Sanderson, Stutzle or Pinto as the starting point and Stutzle is untouchable, Sanderson close to it, but Pinto isn't.

We have many other prospects as good as Pinto you just don't know of. I want to protect Pinto because he is on the roster next season as for other prospects are a bit younger but will do as good. If it cost too much to get Debrincat I don't think ottawa will care to try and match your crazy offer since there are other players almost as good for much cheaper. like Fiala for instance. Min is only asking for 1 top pick and a top prospect. so why spend an arm and a leg for a player with only 5-10 more goals. Plus you have to consider paying debrincat a **** ton of money. Fiala, forsberg(ufa), lawson crouse, nick shmaltz, Jesper bratt, konecny, garland. all cheaper players who fit our second line. maybe we could get two 30 goal scoring players it still might be cheaper than debrincats crazy asking price.
