What r u trying to say. Ruff is the right guy. Ruff is gonna coach them to the Stanley cup. Ruff was an ok transition coach. They need to move past that and be a competitive team next year. Ruff is not the guy
I'm not saying Ruff is going to bring us a Cup because I can't predict the future. I'm not going to argue about things you realistically can't prove. Just saying Fitz is a fool and Ruff "isn't the guy" is not condusive to a proper argument. "Better" coaches on the market do not mean they are the
right coach for our team. We
could've had Laviolette, we
could've had Gallant, we
could get Cassidy, and we
could get Trotz. But what's the one thing they all have in common? They are all known for being terrible at developing young talent. Do you really want them managing a roster that over 50% are it's players under the age of 26? Ruff has done wonders with our young players such as Bratt, Nico, and Jack and the kids love playing for him.
What I
am saying that there is a large majority of the fanbase that refuses to actually look at the facts and realize Ruff is not the problem. Coaches are always the first to go because it's the easiest job to replace, but a lot of the time they are not at fault. Ruff cannot control that we went through 6 different goalies this year, who all posted a combined 31st place in 5v5 save percentage. Ruff cannot control that Hughes got injured for nearly 30 games this year, while Dougie was out for 20. He's not flawless, and I'm not saying he is. But the biggest issues that plagued the team this year (injuries, poor goaltending, and a s*** powerplay (Recchi's responsibility)), are not reasons to fire him. He deserves one more season because in the s***storm of bad things that happened this year, a lot of good happened that many are too ignorant to take into account.
