Made a couple of minor edits but the spirit of the trade is intact. Seattle gets picks and an underutilized young player with upside for taking on a fading middle-sixer, Islanders get a better fit for their bottom-6 and a physical DFD who isn't a billion years old.

Still would probably adding Mike Reilly over Soucy, but in this scenario Pelech and Dobson can handle the puckmoving while Soucy and Mayfield can act as a legitimate shutdown pair. Donskoi isn't really an upgrade over Bailey, but he's a different kind of player who is significantly better defensively and has his contract expire next offseason, which will free up a lot of cap space in 2023.

I think there are probably better paths to take this offseason, but this certainly wouldn't upset me. Thoughts?

    Idk about kulak. I think also trading for Reilly would be better. Kulak doesnt have great offense, but reilly kinda does. Reilly and dobby line would be a great line.

    Kulak isn’t a big offensive threat, but he’s been one of the more underrated defensive players in the league over the last few seasons. Considering our defense has taken a bit of a step back this year, I think adding a guy like that would really help restore what should be this team’s biggest strength
