Doubt Miller is in this realm anymore. He was a player with term, now he's just a rental. That's a big hit to his value.

No, it actually isn't. Just because you get Miller for one playoff run instead of two doesn't cut his value in half

I don't see LA moving Trevor Moore, but if they do, he'd better come with an extension

It absolutely does. This should have been done this deadline. I feel bad for Canuck fans because I know exactly what's going to happen. Worst case they make the playoffs and then management is going to think they are way better than they are. That will lead to decisions of adding assets and sacrificing more future. Then you'll be in the same boat as you are now. Too good to get top 10 picks but not near close enough to be a contender.

Best case you'll miss the playoffs and then management may think twice about its current talent level.

LMFAO, this management group isn't dumb or short-sighted the previous regime. They aren't having any trouble viewing the shortcomings of the team as they are, the reason they didn't deal Miller at the deadline is because they know that non-playoff teams will be able to get in on the bidding war for JT in the summer when teams have more flexibility to do things. This whole get JT for one extra playoff run was way overhyped. Second, one of the FIRST things Jimmy Rutherford said when he got to Vancouver was that the team wasn't going to be trading any high draft picks or high value prospects, it's not my fault you didn't hear him say that. The new front office won't be cutting any corners, we've heard it from the horses mouth, but clearly you didn't
