Description
Conventional wisdom has been we reach cap floorbwith a ~3m backup goalie and a ~4m defender.

IF hellberg works out and he ends up being next season’s option... it’s probably going to be for around league min... which means we are gonna have to spend more FA $$$ to reach floor. A total of ~9m between LHD and maybe 2C to get above the floor. (Or we could take a cap dump like Monahan as in previous editions).

Personally if it’s Copp or trochek I prefer Copp. I’d rather not sign either of them, but if Yzerman thinks we need a 2C upgrade while we draft and develop one then something like this may be the case.

Personally I like the pius/Monahan trade and building slowly through next year better

Pontus Andreasson got a minor yesterday for a headshot that should have thrown him out of the game. It definitely looked intentional. The refs agreed after the game that it would have been a major if they had been allowed to use the replay (SHL have the same rules as NHL regarding refs using replays).

I think Copp stays with the Rangers he's playing great there, Trocheck will probably cost $6,500,000 x 5-6 years and he has health issues. Pettersson for a 3rd rounder and done.

Yeah i can't believe he did that right in front of the ref, Talking about a cheap shot artist.
