As per the latest Chris Johnston show

As of now, Montreal is asking for (and I quote):
A 1st round pick,
A decent prospect maybe even worth another 1st round pick (Guess we're talking about A to B+ type of prospect)
Something else if salary retention is maxed out.

As of now no one bit but Chiarot is still viewed as a very interesting trade target for multiple teams.

Montreal is very open to deal him right away but with the term and price that comes along with his contact it'll be a very tough move to make for TDL, more likely a deal to happen on the summer. CJ brings back Dallas again as the obvious pick if they move Klindberg stating Dallas would likely be more open to acquiring a "buylow" Jeff Petry than wait and likely have to overpay for an RD in free agency. Montreal is in no rush of moving him and CJ reminds us that he was in the Norris talks last year so he's still perceived as a good defender but the contract is where some teams can't make a fit, at least for now.
Montreal would much rather not retain even if this mean a smaller return.

Don't see the fit for Montreal anyways cause at the end of the day Allen isn't dead so on the long run it doesn't change much.
