He plays in all situations. He's gotten better every year. He only plays like 12-13 mins a night and with FLA's C depth, it's not likely he'll be beating Barkov, Bennett or Lundell out of a job. They also still have Heponiemi coming up as well. On NYR, I think he'd fit well with Panarin and Kakko, who I hope would benefit from having a fellow Fin centering him. Someone he can comfortably communicate with, someone who was brought up through the same development programs, whose game might be familiar. I don't think it would take very much to be successful playing with Panarin.
I'm obviously very high on him. But I think these are the types of moves it makes the most sense to make given where we are. I think this sticks to the Drury's stated intent of size and skill, and it has it up and down the lineup. A real 3rd line that would be hard to play against. A 4th line with wheels. 2 PP's with a strong net front presence, off wing one-timers, and puck moving d-men. Some cap space even.
*and it uses things that are already in the pantry.
