Wow, that's a overpay for half a season of Manson. I'm sure Dave would like to come back and play, and he can be signed as a UFA.
Gee, do you think Hart is worth all that? Sanheim is a UFA in 23/24.

I would hope we can have an extension in place for Manson. The way Kenny makes Trades this is just frame work dial it back or dial it up either way. I would rather move the magic beans for players that can have an immediate impact and help us win now. Carter Hart was in Vezina conversation a couple years back and is on a very team friendly deal if he can rebound a bit looking at what was paid for Keumper this seems fair.

Why would trade away good assets "hope". If Josh is determined to be an Oiler, sign him in the off season for free. But look at this team next year. Nurse gets a 4m raise and four young RFAs to be signed and if you want Manson, Oilers just don't have the cap. Oh, and Kassian and maybe even Keith just don't disappear.

Manson wont get a raise in the offseason IMO, Kassian can be bought out and save 2 Mil or moved to a team with cap space for Future Considerations. Bridge the RFAs. Not really that difficult of a cap situation to navigate next season IMO.

We need Manson if we plan on even making the playoffs this year let alone making a deep run.
