Boeser isn’t even better than Wahlstrom, the isles shouldn’t have to give up a package like he’s some superstar

hes 100 % better but not by a lot. Wahlstrom will never get a chance under Barry and Lou, however. Trotz hates him

I lost hope in this team this year.
Hopefully Lou goes out and gets something good in the off season. I think that we need to keep draft picks for this upcoming draft, maybe get some more. Trade Varly away to a team who needs a goaltender for a lesser goaltender + draft picks. I'd also think that Pageau would possibly be traded away, OR we can convert Raty to be a winger (if thats possible idk)

If he signs Dufour either later in the season or in the off season, I'd be happy with that. Kids got potential in the League, hopefully Lou keeps him around.

So basically, Sign Dufour to an ELC, trade away Varly for a goaltender + draft picks, sign a major free agent in the off season, bring Raty up to the NHL and train him as a winger along with being a centre. I'd also agree with the fact that we should trade away Bailey. As much as he has been through the past decade, even more than that, I think his time is up on the Island.

I do like the idea of trying to trade for Boeser, I think he matches Barzal's playing style

    No he’s not better.
    21-22 points per 60 min :
    Wahlstrom: 2.25
    Boeser: 1.94

Evolving Hockey’s GAR (goals above replacement)
    Wahlstrom: 4.5
    Boeser: -0.8

Wahlstrom is a certified “Lou guy” - he’ll get his shot on the 1st line eventually , time will tell if Trotz is the head coach.

this season is over. I would love to see Lou actually allow for young players to grow this season and next but it will not happen. We all know that he is going to be silent this deadline, then only make one small move in the offseason and act like we are fine. I agree with you on Dufour tho. I loved the pick then and I love it even more now. Him+Raty+Wahly has insane potential but we wont get to that point unless we seriously suck like for the next month. Otherwise we will be .500 and pretend we have a shot at the playoffs
