Well, the cap hit for our backup goalie goes from 3.5 to 1.4... 1.1 mill net gain and only this year left. Make more room next year to sign Soupy back. Soucy is on a bad team, but his numbers are still good. Somehow he is a plus player this year and he has one more year on that deal so, that is worth it

and yet the goaltending gets worse and it costs you a top prospect. And Soucy's numbers are middling. He;s a bottom pairing defender on a bad team. Plus minus means literally nothing. literally. He is worth a 3rd on deadline day tops
