so let me get this straight. you want a 20 plus goal scorer signed for an amazing contract under 5mill and a goalie signed at a great deal who will be your starter for barrie (a player we don't need) koskinene ( you should be adding assets to unload him) and lavoie who is only attractive to SOME fans because of his french name and two late 2nds? no thanks. add a 1st and a better prospect, drop barrie and add turris and than we'll talk.

That Montreal trade is disastrous for Edmonton. I was once a supporter of getting Allen but aside from his numbers and play this year bigger issue is that second year of term. What happens to skinner now. Even if that could make sense that seems like a dramatic over payment anyway.

I know jake allen is in the rumor mill but Carey price is not available and nobody knows when he will be. In any case I think price is more than likely on the trade block and not allen.

Edmonton can carry 3 goalies on their roster quite easily.
