Thats the caveat to the trade, if its gonna be a first then the Rangers keep the deeper of the 2 drafts. Id love to make the pick conditional based on team performance but that might deter Dallas.

I think that's fair value and that Dallas should go ahead with that proposition.

And I prefer to have a 2023 1st round pick. Your 2022 1st round pick could be very late in the draft and you never know what next year might look like. A couple of major injuries and we could have a shot at a certain % of Bedard.

And also, Pavelski's 3 choices of destination are IMHO Rangers, Tampa and San-Jose.

Maybe but Pavelski has a 3 teams trade list. My uneducated guess makes me think that the Wild are not part of that list.
