Description

Too many fans are quick to burn the whole thing to the ground. I believe our roster is a few tweaks away from correcting our trajectory. A coaching change, combined with these deals, and we'd have a team.

My reasoning behind this is that Hamonic is a significant upgrade over Gudbranson. Pitlick is a cap dump, so with gudbranson being sent down to the AHL, the flames have enough $$ to make this deal happen, give up nothing to make it, and take a small bet on Hamonic performing at the level he used to back in Calgary. IMO this is the only deal that makes sense for Hamonic, which is why I pursued it.

Considering defensive woes are a serious thing in Vancouver, losing Hamonic and gaining Erik Gustafsson is not a good idea. Gus sucks.

Gus would alternate with Hunt for the 3rd LD spot. The main addition on the blue line is Benning, who can kill penalties. Our PK issues are more apparent than our blue line ones. The forward additions are what help this team get through the season without making the fans suffer more than they need to
