I am kind of torn on the term for Klingberg. I went with 6 years, but this can easily be anywhere between 5-8 years. I believe he would like 8million, and the Stars can give it to him. I'm more focused on the AAV for this team (and in general).
Robo is based on Hintz's contract, which I think is a fair comparable. If he explodes more this year, it could go up considerably, but I think 4million is more than fair. The term can be shorter depending on arbitration stuff that I'm not bothering with here.
While I think Otter will certainly be good (if not great) and is surely the future, he hasn't proven much, and likely won't get many games this season. He gets a short term "show me" deal with more playing time in this upcoming year.
Gurianov's contract is based on Bowness either being canned or playing him properly, and him performing well for the rest of this year.
Fill bottom six/scratched roster spots with similar AAV players on the free agent market, if necessary
Overall, I'm fairly surprised how much money is still on the table (pending Bishop playing or on LTIR). I think they will want to get younger and let a lot of their aging UFAs either walk or get traded at the deadline pending on playoff position, but it's possible Pavs and Rads come back on smaller term deals. Ultimately, they do need to leave money on the table for Hintz. I put Bishop on regular IR just to show that even if he is on the books, the cap still works. But if he does go on LTIR, then add in the extra ~5mil.
Lastly, for the lines I just kind of mixed the vets in with the youngins, but I can see the top line being Peterson - Hintz - Robo, etc
