Détails additionnels:
Ok so let me explain this one:
------------------------------------------
Because of the Avs wanting small contracts (Dman), it makes it hard for the Caps to acquire Duchene without unloading Johansson.

So by doing the above trade, that puts the Caps 3mill over the cap (no pun intended). Alzner is a great Dman but Schlemko has better numbers and is cheaper. Winnik is the cap dump. Though it won't affect San Jose because they can send a couple players down to the minors to make it work. Robinson and Tierney are there for contracts wise and cap situation.

Therefore;

Washington: 1 for 1 even swap, receive more cap space, contracts.

San Jose: 1 for 1 even swap, depth, can clear more contracts.
PRO: Trade flexibility
CON: Less cap space maneuvering

I'll give you Vrana as a top forward prospect, but Djoos as an elite dman prospect LMAO....Scouting report on Djoos...." He will likely need two or three years in the minors before he is ready to crack the NHL. From there, his ideal role will be as a sixth/seventh defenseman contributing a solid all-around game with not many frills".... and a first from WSH would be like ~24th overall, in a weak draft... and you want the Avs to retain?.... Never going to happen sorry, there's much better deals out there for Duchene than this.

February 2017 - Djoos is surprisingly sitting tied for sixth overall in points for AHL defensemen and fifth on the Bears in overall scoring with 31, as he is having a breakout year in the AHL. With a major injury to Bowey, and missed time for Ness, Djoos has taken over the top offensive role for the Bears and is excelling in the role. Minus the fact that he still rarely shoots, as he prefers to play set up man, seen by his 50 shots on goal in 41 games, just slightly over one shot per game. To be consistent and dangerous in the NHL Djoos has to up his shot total but this current season is very impressive. (Pat Quinn)

Also stated that he has an Orlov type offensive upside. Watched him play and he's very mobile and quick.

So I don't know where you got that from but it's not true.

As a NYR fan, I wouldn't be happy if this happened. So they are probably good trades for Washington. I am not sure if SJS would part with Schlemko, since he's worked out great for them. I also think you might benefit from giving Burakovsky a spot in the top 6, instead of trading a future elite winger in the NHL for 1,5 years from Duchene and having Burakovsky buried beneath him. Anyhow, you have the depth to pull this off.

Yeah fair enough, thanks for the feedback.

And yeah I don't necessarily think in today's day n age the meaning of "third line or fourth line" is what it used to be with checking lines and what not. You look at the Penguins and see their third line with Kessel and Hags and the depth they have spread out all across their lineup is what it should be. So because Bura is stuck on the third line doesn't mean that he's going to be limited to like 9 minutes of ice time. To me, it's just a line number and as long as you're performing, then the ice time will come along with it.
