You can trade with vegas so they don't pick a certain player.

The jets do this so they can add a proven goaltender for the next 2 + seasons. I dont know if Fleury waives his NTC, all these posts are hypothetical. They wouldn't have to expose Helly to the expansion draft. They'd still have Hutchinson if he isn't claimed on waivers and if he claimed all the jets need to do is sign a backup to a league minimum to play in the minors, they'll need one.
