Description

Give Mikkola a shot out of camp if he's doing good? Dunn at best fetches a 1st but maybe a good old hockey trade works out for both teams and players in this Bruins trade? If Debrusk gets the fire back that 3rd line could be an awesome fit. Get a tried and true right D depth guy for a year with Braydens brother ? Not alot of great cheap options outside of Schwartz, him and Schenn are comfy together and he knows the system and Kyrou had decent chemistry with them. Lots of ways to mix and match lines 2-4 with a chance for guys to earn more playing time like Debrusk if he's hot and Schwartz isn't. Feel like Walman earned a closer look before covid took him out.

There's no need to spend money on Luke Schenn, and if Dunn skates through the draft there's no point in trading him. I'd rather keep Dunn and grab Killorn or Palat on the cheap for LW. But you've made a pretty good team overall.

Just planning for injuries and wanting some cheap experience on that right side for back up. Santini would play in the Minors still and be ready for a call up if things get real bad again. And I just figured moving on from Dunn this season is an inevitability, Debrusk has alot of potential still. Keeps some youth and gives both players a different look. I'll check out Palat and Killarney though.

1- We already have Bortuzzo to add experience. And he's much better than Schenn.
2- Dunn has as much if not more potential, and is cheaper. I certainly hope they aren't going to expose Tank to keep him and then throw him out.
