Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Trade 1 - expansion
Ive already exhausted this in NYI acgms but for all other folks here goes. Before friday all signs pointed to one of bellows/koivula getting picked. There were numerous reports that those were the 2 guys seattle was considering. This was during times when bailey was expected to be exposed (pre/beginning of playoffs), and eberle (after the playoffs). Every mock had either bellows or koivula going to seattle with 1 of bailey/eberle exposed. I think thats why LL exposed bailey/eberle. Since he knew they wouldnt get taken anyway he wanted to lure casey back by protecting his friends and linemates.

Trade 2 - MIN
This can be anybody. Give up a 3rd for a young dman who has shown flashes, but wont get an opportunity with the islanders. You also get a solid bottom 6 young player on the cheap.

Trade 3 - WSH
This one i wasnt sure of value but i figured a solid 3rd liner at 1.375 for 2 years could for sure bring back a 3rd. This trade can also go to anybody.

Trade 4 - SEA
Hey whats up, another trade that can go to any team. Lamoriello set the market for cap dumps ~5.5 = a 2nd. So 3 million for a 3rd (and a 4th) makes sense. (The 4th is for moving him at the deadline @50% and you can get a 4th imo. That will be taken into account in terms of trades).

Trade 5 - SEA
Another trade that can go anywhere (i promise im done after this one, not going through this again). As in trade 4 the markets been set ~5.5 = a 2nd. 2.5 = a 3rd makes sense.


Landeskog - 7 years x 7 million
I know this might not get it done but i literally dont have anymore cap space. I dont think this is a crazy low offer. He gets the lee contract, gets to try for a cup, and according to lots of reports the isles are the frontrunners (again).

Mccabe - 4 years x 3 million
A really solid 2 way dman, mccabe played really well on a terrible team before he got injured. This is gonna be right with all the other offers and after playing in buffalo there might be an alure in a competent organization that wins games.

Edler - 1 year x 1 million
Another solid 2 way dman hes been very solid playing 2nd pair minutes against top competition. He will be slowing down due to age but is a very good cheap option for the 3rd pair. Mark stowe (his agent) said the reason he was leaving vancouver was not bc of money but bc he is getting older. Sounds like he wants to win and this team is one way to do that.

Cizikas - 5 years x 2.35 million
Casey takes a 1 million discount from his previous contract. He gets long term security plus the fact that he wouldnt get 3.35 as hes getting older. He also for sure gets to play with martin and clutterbuck as LL made sure of that.

Zajac - 1 year x 750k
We all know LL and trotz love their veterans. Lou also likes guys hes familiar with. They bring back zajac as a 13th forward to fill in whenever needed. He can play both wing and center and thats ultimately what brings him back, his ability to play c and win draws.


Lee-barzal-eberle
Im a big fan of this line and now that theyre back together they should continue to play at their elite level.

Landeskog-nelson-bailey
Landeskog has the best of lee and beauvillier mixed into one. This line would be really scary and easily a top 3 2nd line.

Beauvillier-pageau-wahlstrom
2 potential 30 goal scorers on a 3rd line plus one of if not the best 3rd line center in the league, enough said.

Martin-cizikas-clutterbuck
The identity line is back together as casey comes back after protecting his linemates.

Pelech-pulock
An elite d pair youre going to have a hard tkme getting anything done against these guys.

Mccabe-mayfield
A really solid pair, these guys are really tough and arent afraid of anything. Great defensively its gonna be quite hard for opponents to score on them.

Edler-dobson
A solid 2nd pair in its own right, having this as your 3rd pair is overkill. Dobson is getting better and better and has his defensively reliable partner he needs to succeed. Edler is very solid both defensively and offensively and can mentor his young partner. They can play some high pressure minutes thus alleviating some pressure from the top 4. This is possibly a top 5 d core.

Varlamov-sorokin
Good luck scoring against us. The best tandem in the league (MAF gets traded) it consists of a top 5 goalie as the starter/1A and has a solid starter as its backup/1B. Hopefully sorokin takes the next step but we still have varly in case he doesnt. This pair is gonna win the jennings, you heard it here first.

This team would be the favorite to win the cup imo. LGI!!!!
