Yep, cause now we lose McCann and ZAR. Why not just lose McCann and move on.

I like Hallander. Don’t get me wrong. But a 7th round pick?? Come one man.

McCann just turned 25 years old. Can move up and down the lineup as needed. Had .775PPg last season. Had 14 goals and 35 points the year b4 in a shortened season playing 3C on a bad 3rd line. And 19 goals and 35 points the year b4 that; the last full NHL season.

He has 1st round pedigree. Again, just turned 25 last month. Plays very well on the 1st PP when Geno is out. Plays a good 200foot game. Makes just 2.9M and is a RFA and still under team control.

i thought he was worth at least a 4th. hallinder will contribute in a couple years. i hope he uses the money wisely

It should have been Holl and Hallander. Amd We could protect Letang, Dumoulin, Holl. And leafs could protect Dermott.

Holl could have been our 3rd pairing RHD for 2M.
