Okay, this is highly unlikely. This is major speculation, and with assets that are available at the moment, this is the team i have constructed.
Trades~
Tampa Bay- The Lightning get much needed cap relief, but it will definitely cost them. Ferland goes on LTIR, and the bolts save 5 mil.
Minnesota- Schmidt fits Guerins morals and values. I saw this from a Wild fan and I think it works. Canucks shed 3-4 mil in cap space and add a middle six winger, wild get an offensive minded top four defenceman.
Philadelphia- Two players who need changes of scenery and have had their careers slowed due to injuries.
St. Louis- Dunn likely gets taken by Seattle otherwise. MacEwen fits the Blues play style.
Chicago- I’ve seen this sort of trade a bunch of times. I think it works for both teams.
Toronto- Again, i’ve seen this trade multiple times. Vancouver likely wants a russian to ease the crossover for Podkolzin.
Seattle- Pettersson, Boeser, Miller, Horvat, Greenway, Patrick, Motte, Myers, Dunn, Foote, Demko.
Seattle selects either Lind or Pearson imo, with Pearson’s cap hit, they take the younger, cheaper option.
Signings
Pettersson - Essentially Barzal
Hughes - Think Provorov sort of range
Foote - Bridge deal to see if he develops into a top four defenceman
Dunn - Cheap deal due to a down year, Benning signs him relatively long term
Patrick - Struggling centre takes under a mil until he develops
Larsson - Could be more, but i think he is a perfect fit in Vancouver
Chicago trade works for both teams except Chicago.
Edm will give Larsson a better deal after the x draft.
Minn won't take on that much cap and you want better picks than Van gave up.
Now I'm not sure if this is serious....
Tons of Chicago fans who do ACGM seem to disagree with you.
Again, the Minnesota trade was one I found from a Minnesota ACGM.
Larsson likely resigns with EDM, but even if he does, there are similar players out there (McCabe, Hakanpaa, etc.) that could fill that void.
So any time someone tries to drag the Canucks from being less mediocre, it ain’t serious, got it.
