Description
Expansion protected lists were based off the default using the expansion draft simulator here, with very minor edits since a few teams weren't compliant. For some reason 1/3 of the teams didn't protect enough players by default. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also no idea why JVR was left unprotected but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Depending on the standings I would be looking to flip some combination of Rask, JVR, Connolly, Turris, Holtby, Hagelin, Kinkaid(who is buried in the AHL) and Miller.

Honka and Hayden should provide Tampa with some much needed cheap depth. Hayden in particular could be useful as Tampa seems to be using size in their bottom 6. Honka gives them an option to take Cernak's spot. That said, the biggest asset Tampa gets here is cap space.

    EDM needs to get some relatively affordable depth to make the most of McDavid's prime. Vatrano will provide some much needed depth scoring while Maatta gives them a youngish dman who has plenty of playoff experience, something this Oilers team could use and learn from as they look to start making deep runs. Dermott gives them a longer term option and an insurance policy should Maatta choose to test FA.

    Its close but some things are of like the big 4 are No way do Cernak and Toews go unprotected. Dunn will be traded before the draft if they cant protect him. backland has a NTC in his contract
