Wow Don Ch*rry has a cap friendly account 🙄
So his 7 points in 9 games flourish means nothing?
Small sample size but regardless he's ok NHL depth
With so very little prospect and/or AHL depth (you listed most it there) and a tight cap situation even after Seattle takes Zucker at 500k he's quite useful
Can hold water beside Sid or Geno in a pinch also
All around the league there are lots of players of his type in "bottom 6 roles" (Dahlén here etc.) heck TB MTL VGK have some helping them in the playoffs
Idk if a '22 2nd is worth it but hey who knows 🤷♂️
He’s 27 years old. Not a prospect.
Again, pens have better option, younger options, with more experience than him.
Angello, 25 years old, 6’5 220 pounds.
R.Zohorna, a 6’6, 230 pound, Euro with quick hands, 24 years old.
D.OConnor, a 6’3, 210 pound 22 year old.
Lafferty, 6’1, 200 pounds, 26 years old.
All more experienced and more capable on a real nhl bottom 6 on a contending team.
Yes. 5’10, non physical, non hitting, bad at defense (27 year old prospects) play on rebuilding teams, bottom 6. Not a contending team.
Why would Pens give up a 2nd round pick when they have younger, better options, more experienced options in their system.
Paul Byron hits and plays defensive for Montreal.
VGK has no one that size playing on their bottom 6.
U want to compare Y.Gourde or Tyler Johnson to Barabanov?? Come on now man.
He’s not a bottom 6 on a contending team. He wouldn’t see a minute on any Pens line.
Maybe AHL depth. But I’m sure he didn’t come from Russia to play in the AHL. It’s why the Leafs traded him.
