You dealt 4 starters and 4 top picks making 16mil to sign 2 starters for 15 mil?

It also creates a huge meltdown next year when Giroux, Coots, Farabee, Frost, Patrick, Allison and NAK are up for RFA/UFA and you have no money. Do you let Giroux walk or trade him, theres still not enough money to resign all those guys. You may have mader the team better for 1 year and then it collapses. Plus it doesn;t really address why the team tanked this year.

You can not sign Hamilton and Reinhart for 15 mil long term, deal away 2 1sts and 2 2nds and have a remote chance of resigning guys.

Voracek needs to leave to open up cap space. You bribe Seattle to take him. Next year might be tough I agree but based on this past season I see Patrick and NAK walking next year anyway. Coots will get a big contract. Giroux will take a big pay cut or move to a cup contender for a shot. Frost and Allison will get bridge deals and Farabee should get a decent contract. It will be tough to get it all done but they have a window to win a cup and it’s a small one if you want Giroux to be here for it so they need to go all in and take it year by year.
