Description

Need Bellows back in, dude is probably more motivated than he's ever been and didn't play poorly on the top line earlier this year. I really wish we used him a little more than not at all down the stretch, but it is what it is. Knowing what we know now, there's 0 chance he would've been worse than Palmieri lmao.

Nelson needs a break, he's been god awful of late, as have Leddy and Mayfield. Thought Coburn and Dobson were alright together after the 1st period, they should get another chance to play together. Hickey should've been in the lineup since January, so he'll get in too.

The Bailey-Zajac-Palmieri line has the potential to be terrible, but we're resting people, so I guess this is a result of that. Maybe they'll have some chemistry together lol

I wouldn't mind reuniting that 1st line - I can't even think of another 1C who's been put in a worse position than Barzal. He's forced to play wing every other game and at any given time he has a 4th line depth player anchoring his line.

That trio had some nice games together too. Bellows isn’t Lee, but I felt he was doing a nice job trying to add some of Lee’s qualities to his game when he was in there. But he was always so in and out of the lineup that it never seemed like he could get into a consistent rhythm. Obviously it’s too late for that now, but if we’re gonna be resting people, I’d like to see him back in there for a game or two

For sure, bellows isn't much of a play driver but his shot and instincts inside the ozone compliment Barzal. Unfortunately well get to see more of Johnston and Zajac.
