The pick could be changed to 2022, and have some protections if needed. But the purpose would be to get off of Lucic. And this way you wouldn't lose any of your defenseman (namely Giordano).

Lucic has already waived his no move clause so he is available to draft so flames don’t need to pay for him to be taken rather then a dman

No way Edmonton does that they could just buy out Neal for a cost of 1.5 mil against the cap
