Why trade away your goalie for so little he had a very strong season and he can mentor Sorokin. If Sorokin because the sure starter then sure trade him but still this doesn't make sense to me? EDIT: Scratch why you are trading him I forgot for the expansion oops. Still seems too little.

Sorokin can start next year and Mitch korn can turn bernier into an above average goalie. It makes sense for the isles to sell high on varlamov

Honestly I think he already is above average. His stats just suck because of the team in front of him. He literally saves games for Detroit or saves them from getting 7 goals a night on them.

Fair point - but I think it makes sense for bernier to work with Mitch korn, get his numbers up and sign a more lucrative contract with another team

I like the Jordan Weal addition. He's still a NHL player, he's just a cap casualty for the Habs this season.

Might be an unpopular opinion but he's already an above average goaltender. The numbers he puts up in Detroit is impressive.
