Huge return for Coleman, a 1st and a recent 1st rounder good prospect. Good deal for Tampa too as Coleman was huge in their cup run, but props to NJ for selling really high when Coleman had another year left, as opposed to waiting and letting his value drop.

The most scrutinized deal of the deadline for NJ, since many people thought they could have got a 1st for Vatanen. However, it has turned out fantastic, as Kuokkanen has been great for NJ, and Vatanen signed back in the offseason.

NJ gets a 1st round pick for the second straight deadline. In hindsight, it would have been smarter to trade Palmieri in 2020 when his value was sky high (like they did with Coleman), but Palmieri was a long tenured player and one of the veteran leaders on the team, and Fitzgerald wanted to pursue an extension. Either way, a 1st is still a solid return.
