NHL Rumours Daily Reports Leafs Are Looking at Reimer

Hurricanes don't need a goaltender back. That's kind of why they're looking at selling one; because they've got three.

And the Leafs are not sending a 1st round pick to bring back a failed experiment.

I've said it for a while now, Reimer to the leafs is a good idea. Do it Dubas. But the above package is an overpay for a rental.

Why would we give a 1st and a prospect for 1 year of Reimer when we gave two 3rds for 3 years of Campbell who is better and signed at a lower AAV?

NRD is a hack, he just puts speculation based on multiple different sources together. Athletic posted an article that the Canes could trade a goalie (along with Waddell saying in interviews they could of the other two are healthy and the return was right). He responded to a tweet from a Leafs fan asking if the leafs should look into Markstrom.

BTW - Waddell also has said in those same articles/interviews that they are perfectly content with their three goalies. They want a RHD for depth and a depth forward. Guessing Reimer could be moved if the return was satisfying either of those.
