Ideally Podz is done in Russia within the next month and he starts getting some reps in!

The Pearson trade is more of an idea of a trade scenario. Second Rounder + B/C prospect or reclamation project.

Would be shocked to see Sutter and Benn go for more than a 4th and 5th, but pick accumulation is key with the expansion draft nearing.

Doubt salary will be retained since the Aqualinis are cutting costs everywhere, so this is very rose coloured glasses.

Lastly, if I were the Canucks I'd look to move Schmidt and Motte because if the Canucks are looking to maximize their team for the 2022-23 season, those two will be older (Schmidt) and costing more (Motte).

Ryan walking at the end of the year is his end game, he's too important to the PK and the bottom 6, it was shocking how much the Flames missed him when he was hurt. I almost wonder if it could involve Bennett+ and retention with Sutter coming off the books at the end of the year for both teams. Bennett is a tough sell though because Vancouver would either need to qualify him at 2.5 or let him go to UFA.

Hopefully we can get a late 3rd for Sutter. I don't see a need to move anyone other than Pearson, Sutter and potentially Edler (barring overpayments on other guys) since we won't get much back anyway. Edler only get's moved if he wants to move.
