Stone over O'Reilly and Horvat. Could also see Barzal getting in with his speed on the Olympic ice.

I strongly disagree that people think Suzuki might in the mix. There is simply way too much established depth in forwards. Unless Suzuki pops off for well over a ppg this year and next, he won't be on the team.

Spot on the the 4 LHD in the mix.

As for the RHD, I don't see any scenario where Letang makes the team. Weber, Pietrangelo, Makar, Parayko, and probably even Doughty would all be above Letang IMO.

Hart and Price are locks, and although it doesn't really matter since the 3rd string won't play, theres zero chance its Murray given his recent play.

With how good Horvat has gotten the past couple of years and the leadership he shows I think he makes it for sure. It also helps his case that he has gotten unbeatable at faceoffs. Having another guy who you can send out to win a faceoff is huge. I agree Nick Suzuki wont make the team with the amount of depth that Canada has at forward.

When it comes to Mark Stone I dont think he makes it. O'Reilly has become a really great shut down guy who can also produce offensively. He can go up against any top line and shut them down. I do think though because Covid is a part of our world now and it will be for the Olympics they are going to expand the roster and have a Taxi Squad like the NHL has. Guys who are kept separate from the team in case there is a breakout on the team these guys could fill in. Stone makes that for me in a second.

Kris Letang is so under rated and people always forget about him. The guy is always one of the top defensemen for average TOI. With the skill and speed he has he makes a great guy to have on olympic ice.

I agree it doesnt matter who the 3rd goalie is because its Price and Hart for sure. I went with Murray because he is 1 year younger than Binngington and once Price hangs them up the young goalies coming up aren't really standing out. So I think for the next couple of Olympics you might be seeing Hart/ Murray/ Binngington. So why not bring Murray. Guy has won 2 stanley cups and when he was playing in Pittsburgh, with my opinion a better roster, he was alot better than he has been in Ottawa.

Fair points on Stove vs O'Reilly. They play similar games and being a centre definitely gives O'Reilly the upper hand.

I do agree than Letang is underrated. Like he is still a nasty player. Every year he produces on my fantasy teams haha. But I think there are still a few better options. If Letang made the team, I wouldn't be surprised, but Weber is still one of the most dominant dmen in the league, Pietrangelo is all around a top 5 dman in the league. Makar is surely going to surpass Letang by next year if he hasn't already. You still have Hamilton, Parayko and Doughty as strong threats over Letang. But realistically he is right in the mix with those guys, so any one of them could make it.
