He's on the third line here which you are saying is the top line? Were you standing on your head when looking at it? They didn't announce any defensive lines I'm aware of and even if they did it's for training camp and with a guy with an apparent ceiling he has (going off of stats, previous rosters and what scouts and other pro's have said) If they didn't have him practice with various other defensive partners and pairings they wouldn't be doing their job. You're on CapFriendly so chances are you aren't new to hockey so my only question remaining is, don't you already know this?
