Description

Honestly we have too many wingers now, Sorenson probably has the most value of guys we could move being on an expiring contract and having 15 goal upside when used with a good a 3C.

I would want to see DW use that new found cap space on a known 3C option (see Haula or Soderberg) but I think he will use internal options as we have a glut of centres in the Minors right now. (Sasha, True, Suomela, Gallant, Letunov & Chekovich is in KHL for whole season).

Only upside is going into the season with 3M in cap space would give us a TONNE of deadline cap space to either add (if we are good) or take on an expiring bad contract from a contender (if we are bad) and add assets.

But I'm fairly confident we will be in and around the Wild Card with the team below. I think both Jones & Dubnyk will be in the .91X% range

I heard Rutta is going to pursue an acting career based on his hockey career. It'll be about growing up being told he wasn't good enough to be in the NHL and overcoming adversity. The teammates and fans chanting "Rutta Rutta Rutta" makes this movie Oscar worthy. He'll also be in the next Lord of the Rings movie. 👍

I prefer Harmonic and he wants to stay in the west, we might be the perfect fit if he is willing to accept a show me deal of 1.5 mil or less, I like Sheary I hope we get him and I’d like one of either Duclair or Athenasiou, that’s a solid lineup.
Handemark is projected as a 4C in the NHL so move him down one notch and Kellman or Noah as 3C

If Jones and/or Dubnyk can take the starting roll and post 2.87 and .907% then we will be in the playoffs if they post similar stats as last year then we’re sellers.

Post him up with sheary and Donato on the 3rd line to make a really strong line and hope to god Boughner can teach all 3 how to play D since they all could easily put up 20* Goals but might end up -19 if no one works with them on their D
