Trade contingent on if the Hawks are rebuilding and Toews is willing to waive his NMC. This just seems to make sense because Vegas would basically be putting themselves into full blown win now mode (which they probably would do) and Chicago gets to maximize Toews' trade value by taking back a cap dump

Essentially this trade turns Fleury into Toews at 6M (so 1M in cap saving) for the next three years (their window to contend). They dump Fleury's contract while picking up a veteran 1C (three cups) to help them win now. How much would Vegas be willing to pay? I'd think that Krebs + 2 1sts would be close to value.

Damn this is sweet my one qualm is those 1st rounders being 30th overall and 30th overall with this team adding retained Toews for no roster players

Yeah I mean I don't think Glass would work because they would want to use him for their contending window. I know the 1sts could end up really late 1sts but I think it's worth the risk because you never know, they could end up a lottery pick too lol but having 2 1sts for the next two drafts would be a quick way to rebuild and Krebs is a very very good prospect.

It was hard for me to gage the value of this trade. I feel like it would cost a 1st and a 2nd to dump Fleury and then Toews at 6M would be probably the same.
