the term is supposedly being offered, and 2.5-3M makes a huge difference if the cap is flat for 2 seasons.
could mean the difference between trading Eller or not signing Vrana.

Bergeron probably left a bit of money on the table, but Pasta and Marchand hadn't established themselves as elite yet when they signed their contracts.

I don't think there's any question whether or not Ovechkin will make it.
