I'd love this trade if Dallas was willing. I just don't think they would be.

I think mccaron is a very good base for a trade... Nhl ready with size, not as much upside but again dallas is probably afraid of khl so they are not in the best trading position.

I also beleive dallas might be willing to get emelin since their d is a little weak...

What more do you beleive it would take? Take 500k of emelin salary ? Add a 2 rdpounder? Or add a 1st and maybe dallas switch their second rounder for a guy like the french dirty player which i forgot the name of...

Any toughts from dallas fans?

I think we'd have to retain some money and add a pick. probably a 3rd rounder. I'd be willing to do that either way. Nichushkin has a higher ceiling then McCarron and losing Emelin won't hurt very much so getting a 2nd rounder for him would be amazing.

Hmm don't know any Dallas fans on here to be honest but if we're being unbiased and thinking about the other team as well......They wouldn't do this deal. Maybe McCarron and a 3rd rounder for Nichushkin but adding Emelin to our side of the deal means they'd have to be sending us a 3-4m player back also. Maybe an Oduya or a Hemsky if we're lucky....

I proposed a much lesser impactful but different spin type Emelin trade in one of my teams a couple days ago. The offer was Emelin to Calgary for Bouma. No picks, no retaining salary. straight player for player. What do you think?
