Description

Detroit Trade is fair and gives both teams what they need out of the deal.

Florida adds two top 6 forwards which they need after losing Hoffman and Dadonov plus a solid RHD prospect in Jet woo. Canucks get their top pairing RHD.

They have 30 Million next offseason to resign Hughes and Petterson + a bunch of prospects knocking on the door to fill roles on the cheap.

Obviously Ferland is a wildcard here and may be done, who knows. But this team could also Add Podkolzin at the end of the KHL season for the playoffs if there is a void there. If Jim knows about that vacancy prior to the start of the season Id love to see him add Simmonds on a one year deal at the same cap hit of 3.5M which I dont think any other team in the league would offer him after his last two seasons.

Canucks need a solid 2nd goalie. Only way Id take a pick is if I knew I could get that backup in free agency.

If a player like Ekblad could be had for him I think Jim has to seriously consider it. Hes one of the only guys in the league Id trade Boeser for. That D pairing with Hughes would be insane!
