Year 2

I really like the look of this team. I would try to get Mang at 3x2.5 in year 1 though (aka the current offseason), I'm worried Vali+Dube ask for more here due to their play. Fabbro too could easily improve to the point where he asks for more. Gustafsson might be a cap casualty in this year if that's the case. Backlund too, but I would fight to keep him, he's an ideal 3C and means a lot to the organization. We'll be super reliant on Zagidulin or Parsons developing to a backup by this year. It's a shame at the end of this season we would have to resign Chucky AND Johnny without Lucic leaving yet, but at least Gio's contract comes off the books. He'll probably get the obligatory 2mil 1year deal for old guys though, unless he chooses to retire. I also don't know if Nashville even does this deal for Fabbro but if we threw in something like Zavgorodny they might consider it.

I didn't get into all the Seattle stuff but at this point I think that one of Gio or Luc is gone to Seattle, if not it's a guy like Bennett which will be a few million off the cap At the end of this season (2021-22) is when we may see the cap start moving hopefully.

Ah I forgot about the Seattle expansion, they'd probably take Bennett or Gustafsson. Giving them a 1st, or 2nd+prospect, to take the last year of Lucic is probably the play unless he continues his playoff form lol (not holding my breath). They've said the cap for the next 3 years is 81.5, 81.5, and 82.5 so it goes up a little for the first year of Chucky's and Gaudreau's new deals but not a whole lot.
