Very interesting look at the team, though I don't agree on some of the lines, and would replace some of the current roster with picks and promote more from AHL and reserve list players.

Care to elaborate more?

Also, I wanted to put emphasis on NOT rushing prospects in this post. (Kurashev would also not be the 2nd forward scratch.)

Smith and Maatta - for sure trade for picks
Carpenter, DeHaan - possible higher picks or prospects
Nylander, Kampf, Subban - if the price is right picks players

Bring over a couple of the Russians, let the kids all play and see where it goes, can't get much worse... For sure though swap Carpenter and Sikura, maybe sign Tyler Sikura again.

Carpenter has some experience playing up the lineup, his presence on the second line is more of a safety net for Dach. Bringing over Shalunov might be a good idea, but the other ones are locked up.

I thought it was only the one Russian that was signed, the other 3 may sign depending on who's season started first?
