Description
Green: Retain 50% and move him for a 3rd/4th at the deadline to whatever team that wants him

AA: Both have close to equal value and fill needs on each team. If AA would be traded at the deadline for picks/prospects, he would probably get a 2nd + mid tier prospect, which is kinda estimated what Georgiev would bring in. If we don't make some sort of "hockey trade" for athanasiou I wouldn't trade him this deadline. His value is at a low point, so I would just wait till the draft and see if his value has gone up, or "worse case" sign him to a short term deal and see what happens.

Howard: I don't really see a market for Howard, and would only attempt to make this deal if Georgiev came in at the deadline. I might be more willing to move out Bernier in this situation, as he would bring in more than Howard, and then we could sign a vet goalie in free agency to backup Georgiev. But Bernier is on a team-friendly contract for another year, and he's played hard in front of this team despite our season so I like the guy. Plus I really have no idea what his value would be.

With Green gone, I would bring up Seider and let him play out the last 20 games or whatever and burn that first year of his ELC, and let Daley mentor him.

Very Interesting NYR trade. I think we take it. Do you think he can play 2C?

Thats a tough question. We played him at 2C last year from the deadline on and he didnt exactly thrive, I would say right now on the red wings he is definitely better suited on the wing. That being said, his linemates were like Vanek and Helm, and we still had our bad defense, so it would be interesting to see him try it on a team with good linemates and solid defense. His speed is elite and his hands and finishing skills are better than average, I definitely think he has the skill to, he just needs the right fit. What I envisioned when I made this trade is him slotting in Fast's spot on that 2nd line, he would be great with a guy like Panarin.

Ive really liked AA. I think his speed and skill is overlooked by people who simply don't watch him. I think it still works tho, Georgiev is perfect in Detroit imo.

Just watching him the skill is apparent. The problem is he's not defensively responsible enough to play on the 1st line with really good players, but for him to truly thrive, as most offensively minded forwards, he needs to be playing with skill guys, not Darren Helms and Frans Nielsens. His struggle with Detroit is that we only have good center, so he is stuck playing with two plugs on his line who should really be 3rd or 4th liners on a playoff team. On a deep team with solid defense, I think he would slot in perfectly on that 2nd line and 2nd PP. And as I said, Panarin and AA would be amazing to see.
