For me, any pick in the top three rounds this year are very valuabe, and should be traded with extreme caution (Exluding the 1st and DET 2020 2nd, which are untouchable.) I've seen swapping WSH 2nd round for NYR 3rd round, as they have two and no 2nd rounder, but I think even moving back those spots is risky. Its looking likely that it will be a late 2nd rounder, and NY will probably be a mid/early 3rd rounder, so we're talking 15ish spots, but what if it's not. This is the playoffs we're talking about, that pick could end up being like 47th overall for all we know, then we're talking like 30 spots, that's a whole round. Too risky for a team this deep into the rebuild. Realistically I would like to keep picks out of this, but theres probably no way getting around it without overpayment. I've seen Svechnikov's name thrown around, but honestly I think he has more value than Lias, although Svech probably deserves a change of scenery. But I can say I'm not opposed to it if it's right. Neither one really look they will project to be top6 impact players, more like 3rd line depth scoring, so it wouldnt be the end of the world. If it's right, Im not opposed. Perlini, Erne, Ehn, Kuffner, Hirose, all those type of guys could probably get this deal done with the right pick/combination. Let me know your thoughts below, and hopefully we'll be able to get a solid idea of what us wings fans are willing to pay.
Fair. I'm sure there is other prospects in the system that could get this done, but I didnt bother looking through them all. If it had to be a 1 for 1 with just picks, what would you say his value is, so I can try and gauge it?
