Hall is a season removed getting 90+ pts carrying a team to the playoffs. Tatar is forever a 20g scorer. If that is your logic, then JT Miller for Mark Scheifele is a fair trade. It really is not. Hall can be a gamebreaker that can help life Montreal deep into the playoffs. The fascination is because someone is going to trade for him this year as it is very unlikely he re-signs with the devils.

Well I agree it won't be resigned by the Devils. but that doesn't mean Hall will forgo his chance to be a UFA. It's net like Hall has much playoff experience or success. Of course someone is going to trade for him, but at what future sacrifice. Hall might make the Habs better this year but really think it's enough to get them out of the Atlantic? Doubt it.
