Description

for the power plays, the jets can't win a draw in the offensive zone, so have lowry take the faceoff, before having him move to the front of the net while scheifs stays top of the slot, while on PP2 have Connor in a Wheeler-esque role of quarterbacking PP2, with morrissey on the point and ehlers on his off side. Perreault can play top of the slot while little is net front, with little taking the faceoffs.

Lowry is terrible, no way he should get on the PP!

Agree though Pionk needs to be on the 1st PP unit, Morrissey just isn't getting it done and absolutely need a right handed shot feeding passes to Laine, I don't know if Morrissey has managed to get one over to Laine yet.

Might be time to take Connor off the 1st PP unit too, he's looking a bit lazy out there, I'd almost consider Copp for that spot, at least he'll crash the net and create a screen, Connor just won't go to the dirty areas much.

The Jets special teams suck and the 2nd PP unit is better then the 1st is right now.

I agree Copp is also a reasonable replacement for that spot on PP1. My logic with Lowry being there is he has a strong faceoff % and can actually win draws in the offensive zone, which the Jets struggle with hard, as well as his 6'5 frame acting as good screening for the goalie. Other than that he really just has to stand there while the other 4 go to work

copp is above average, getting 55% last year, but thats only with half a season of taking regular faceoffs. Lowry has well above 50% average, while being a regular centre for 3+ years, and taking faceoffs against other teams best centers, including 57% last year
