Also Freddy is gonna get paid in free agency, the leafs won't be able to match what he gets. That offer isn't close.

I can actually see Freddy taking a deal like this, nice little raise and he gets to stick with a cup contending team

Just wondering why because for the past 3 years, they have lost at same freakin spot: Game 7. And people continue to say that they're " cup contending team "

Fine, they're really good in regular season top10 if not top8/top6 even but in playoffs, different story.

(All of that while improving every year: getting Marleau in 2017, young players develop and become better, then JOHN TAVARES LET'S GOOO, in January JAKE MUZZIN= D problems solved but continue to lose every year at the same place)

That's why, I'm just trying to figure out how they are cup contenders when they can simply not win a single playoff round (THREE STRAIGHT SEASONS).
